Description

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking Data Analysts to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend to a permanent position based in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and translate business problems into data-driven solutions
• Analyze and validate large datasets using statistical methods and programming tools like SQL, Apache Spark, or Hadoop
• Contribute to data governance and compliance by applying knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk management practices
• Support AI and data innovation projects, working as part of the Data & Analytics team in a financial services environment
• Engage in continuous learning and upskilling, including obtaining industry certifications and participating in career coaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree grade 60% or above in any discipline
